Prosperity Housing Group prides itself on being diverse and accepts all women who have mental health conditions from various religious, cultural, ethnic and sexual orientation backgrounds.

The Prosperity Housing Group care professionals work alongside the resident to identify and eliminate barriers that result in extended stays in hospital, with the aim of preventing admission/readmission into inpatient treatment.

We promote integrated discharge planning which involves collaboration with hospital services, GPs, public health nurses and other professionals to adopt a client centred approach to discharge and a smooth transition into our residential care. This also assists with a reduction in lengthy hospital stays and a prevention of readmission as service users do not remain in inpatient care longer than necessary.

The adults that we support are those that have a history of autism and mental health issues and possible hospital admissions. We provide a comprehensive range of mental health services and help adults to progress along a planned pathway to a more independent lifestyle.

I have always had an incredible interest in Psychology graduating with a BSc in Psychology with Criminology and then going on to complete my MSc in Forensic Psychology.

My passion for mental health flourished when I had my own personal struggles and contact with services many years ago due to anxiety and depression. From there I decided I really wanted to help and support people who suffered with mental health as I had first hand experience of how damaging, isolating and scary suffering with mental health could be.

From there I worked as a Healthcare Assistant and then went onto become an Assistant Psychologist in a Private Hospital supporting inpatients with various mental health issues such as Eating Disorders, addictions, personality disorders, self harming behaviour, suicidal ideation and also adolescents with various mental health issues.

I also spent time doing live in care supporting the elderly with issues such as dementia and young people with physical health issues such as cerebral palsy.

I remain dedicated to providing the highest level of support for vulnerable young people in the community in order for every young person who works with PHG to flourish and reach their full potential, despite their challenging circumstances.
