16-25, 5 beds, Male & Female, Smethwick
Prosper House is safe independent supported housing for young people 16-25 who are on the leaving care pathway, vulnerable to Children Sexual Exploitation, Repeat Offending, Self-Harm, Emotional and Behavioural Conditions and at risk of homelessness. We support young people to overcome obstacles, maximise their potential, fulfil their purpose and have a prospering internal state. We accept nationwide applicants. We work in partnership with Local Authorities and Social Services in the UK to provide a pathway for young people who are seeking to live independently. Our aim is to help transition young people to independent living within their community.
Our homes are newly decorated, well equipped and the resources are continually reviewed and expanded to maintain a high standard. Each person’s room is thoughtfully decorated and furnished, and includes a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bed.
There is a fully equipped kitchen; each cupboard is fitted with a lock for personal safe-keeping of goods. There is a dining table providing a comfortable environment for that important interaction around mealtimes. We have a main lounge for relaxing and watching Neflix. Prosper House offers a relaxed lifestyle, peace of mind and comfortable living. Prosper House is designed with independent living in mind, with privacy and the added advantage of specialist therapeutic services that all service users are encouraged to attend and take part in.
Our approach is holistic, yet systematic for positive outcomes for each individual who comes to stay with us. Our staff are trained to support in ways which include addressing relational, spiritual, emotional, body image and health issues. The right environment coupled with the right support and the right stimulation can transform people’s lives, helping them to feel happier and more fulfilled.
Prosperity Housing Group is a safe and supportive environment that brings stabilisation for those who are placed with us. Thus, allowing them to address the realities in their lives while growing to be independent, respected and positive young people.
The Prosperity Housing Group’s ‘Principles of Good Young People Care’ is based upon the key principles of privacy, dignity, self-fulfilment, independence, choice and rights. This is an integral part of our working practises.
Prosperity Housing Group takes great pride in quality and professionalism. For further details and to find out what we can do to support and help you, we are only at the other end of an email.
We are always happy to show people around, so come and have a look around and see what you think. There is no pressure to decide straight away, and we aim to answer as many questions as you want to ask. Please note that you may be required to join our waiting list if there are no vacancies at Prosper House.
All enquiries about the service in general can be made to our offices, where information can be sent and discussions held with the manager. We would usually like the young person to visit or be visited to begin our own assessment and to talk through with them their hopes and fears about the prospective placement. We would also hope that Social Workers visit the house and local area prior to admission.
The appropriate referral forms will be expected to accompany the service user on admission so that key information is available and appropriately recorded.

Supported Living Services for adults, aged 18–65 years old who are living with mental health conditions; who require care and housing support, but do not need to be in inpatient care. We recognise that people living with mental health conditions can find it challenging to live alone, to manage day to day tasks and often, experience difficulty in finding and keeping a home.
